Meet the Facilitator

Trinette Stanford has been in nursing for more than 40 years. She has worked as a primary care provider in a variety of settings such as rural health clinics, health department clinics and lastly in a Veterans Primary Care Clinic.  Caring for these clients provided practical experience in how to diagnose, treat, and educate a variety of clients and families. She specialized in diabetes care and management because she was seeing so many people with diabetes. Her focus was to make it easy for people to understand what diabetes is and how to care for themselves. The desire to teach about healthy lifestyles has become her focus since retiring from clinical practice. People need to know that they can thrive in life if they make self-care a priority.
